Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This policy explains what data Chatwiser collects, how we use it, and how we keep it safe when you connect channels like WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram and web chat.
Who this covers
Chatwiser is an omnichannel messaging platform that businesses use to receive and reply to their customers across connected channels. This policy applies to the people who run a Chatwiser account and to the customer conversations that flow through it.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, email and the workspaces, settings and billing details you create.
- Conversation data — the messages, attachments and contact details that pass through your connected channels, so we can show them in your inbox and run your flows and AI agents.
- Data from connected platforms — when you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram account, WhatsApp number, Telegram bot or website widget, we receive what that platform sends us to operate the channel: the message content, the sender's name, ID and profile picture, and the access tokens needed to send and receive on your behalf.
- Usage and logs — technical logs and activity we need to run, secure and troubleshoot the service.
How we use it
- To deliver the service: receive and send messages, run your flows, broadcasts and AI agents, and show everything in your inbox.
- To keep the service secure, reliable and free of abuse.
- To provide you with analytics about your own account and conversations.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use the content of your conversations for advertising or to build cross-business profiles.
Data we receive from Meta
Data we receive through Facebook and Instagram (such as a Meta user ID, name, profile picture and the API access tokens for your connected Pages and accounts) is used only to operate the channels you connect — to show your inbox, deliver replies and run your automations. We keep it within our own infrastructure and only share it with the service providers described below.
AI processing
If you turn on an AI agent and connect an AI provider (for example OpenAI, Anthropic or DeepSeek), the content of the relevant messages is sent to that provider so it can generate a reply. You choose whether to enable this, and which provider to use.
Where your data is stored and how it's protected
Your data is stored on servers we control. It is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), sensitive credentials and tokens are encrypted at rest, and access is restricted to the systems that need it. Each account's data is kept isolated from others.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run the service: our hosting provider (which stores the data on our behalf) and, only when you enable it, the AI provider you choose. These providers process data on our instructions to help us deliver Chatwiser.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can export or delete your data, and closing your account removes it, subject to any legal obligations we must meet. To make a request, contact us below.
Your choices
- Access or export the data in your account.
- Delete your data or close your account.
- Disconnect any channel at any time, which stops further data from that platform.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we'll update this page and the date above, and let account holders know in advance where appropriate.
